Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is a research-oriented university that considers research to be an essential component of education. Since the university's inception, our goal has been to promote and cultivate creativity through research ecosystem. The University encourage research at all levels for UG, PG, doctoral and post-doctoral degrees for students, faculty, and staff, including in-house, individual and collaborative multidisciplinary research both at national and international. The Ph.D. students are mentored by highly qualified and experienced faculty members and are closely monitored and facilitated by Research and Development Cell.

Research and Development Cell: Currently chaired by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, and administered by the Director, Research who has vast experience of 5 decades. The primary function of the Research and Development Cell is to strengthen the University's research profile by integrating multiple university research and innovation bodies, as well as to plant, implement, and execute research-related policies. To strengthen the research ecosystem, the university hosts Central Research Station, Incubation Centre, IPR Cell and Publication Cell. UG, PG and doctoral scholar including faculty members are provided seed money for conducting research, publication grant and incentives for high quality research publications and patents. Each Department is supported with research laboratories with central instrumentation facility situated in R & D Cell. The University provides the consultancy to industries, entrepreneurs and other institutions of higher education.
